Tank System Removal and Remediation

Fuel was discovered in a storm water ditch adjacent to the facility.  Removal of fuel and daily monitoring of the surface water was implemented while product recovery was performed on the tank basin via mobile dual phase extraction (MDPE).  Soil, groundwater and vapor intrusion assessment were performed along with continual free product recovery (FPR).  The correct action technology selected for the site was direct source removal.  Corrective action began with demolition of existing buildings and surface structures, removal of the existing underground fueling system, removal of hydrocarbon impacted soil and groundwater and backfilling/grading of the remediated area.
