PMI designed and provided construction management for a recirculating media filter for the Riviera Utilities wastewater treatment facility.  The design incorporated much of the existing infrastructure, including conversion of the existing intermittent sand filters to recirculating media filters, and installation of four Orenco Advantex pods and two 30,000-gallon buried fiberglass tanks.  An operations building with new chemical feed equipment; automation and controls were constructed.  By utilizing an attached growth system, long-term O&M costs are significantly less than a mechanical plant.  The plant has been in compliance with all effluent limitations since construction.  PMI received an ACEC Arkansas Engineering Excellence Award and a Water and Wastes Digest (WWD) National Award for this project.
